As my readers and fans, I assume you’ve all been wondering the latest series my roommates and I have been binge watching. I’m here to tell you, we’ve struck (British) gold. Love Island has been our show of choice, and it blows all other dating shows out of the water. Never was a Bachelor fan and never will be after this show blessed my life.

Every season begins with five lads and five ladies pairing up and moving into a beachy mansion in some island in god knows where. The reality stars spend their days lounging by the pool, falling in love and talking mad sh*t about each other. I mean, you’d be shocked by the amount of drama that can occur in such a confined setting. And don’t worry, if things ever start to settle down, ATTN: Islanders, a recoupling will be held.

New people join the ranks of the islanders while others are kicked off the island based on votes from the brits at home. It can be almost hard to keep up, but that’s why we love it.

In case you’re needing a final push to start watching, I’m here to tell you that it is by no means a waste of time. Not only do you learn about love, but you learn all the British slang you could have ever dreamed of. If I ever find myself in a pub in Essex, I’ll be one with the people in no time.
